In the Scottish highlands the doors are open, there is gossip in the shop, everyone is helpful. Stop for a car to pass, you’ll get a wave. Life as it should be, really

It is a  very peaceful cottage with new double glazing. The road in front of the house goes to Oban one way and Fort William the other but it is not all that busy. There is ample parking space beside the cottage and a garage. All Highland roads are slow and awkward. Bar meals See photos bottom of page

Safety for young children. Short people are often scamps and may be difficult to control  Children have grown up in these cottages. There are no rivers or lochans to fall in. Parents appreciate the double gates at the back of the house, both of which are latched, parents like the secluded garden up the hill, again gated

Is there a telephone landline? No, but most mobile phones work
We have installed a computer with WiFi connection for your use

Wheelchairs are not advised, However we have put in bannisters up the stairs to make it easier.
We’ve loved this cottage for 18 years, even though the bathroom and bath are small.

Sorry, but we allow no pets, nor smoking. Guests notice it immediately.

Boats. Launch Mirror dinghies, flubbers and canoes with ease
