Four wrong ideas about our weather
It is always raining.
WRONG Some parts are as dry as the driest parts of England. While Mull has tropical rain, 100 inches a year, our cottage, 15 miles to the East has less than half of that.
In Winter there is snow everywhere.
WRONG Travel down the West coast roads and you’ll miss the 7 foot drifts inland.
The weather is similar to the Alps

It is always dark and gloomy. VERY WRONG Daylight in Summer is over 17 hours, the longest in Britain (yes, all right, in Winter daylight lasts for only 7 hours)
There are pockets of good local weather around the area. Kentallen , our hamlet, is in one of them
